Miles for Community Smiles 2018!

5K Walk/Run

April 14, 2018

9am, Cambridge City Park, beside the basketball courts,

Join us in a race through our community to help raise money for our community! We are welcoming all ages to participate in a 5k Walk/ Run to raise money for local charities. The proceeds of the race will be split evenly between Haven of Hope, Guernsey County Animal Shelter, Operation Homestay and House of Samuel. All participants pre-registered are guaranteed an event t-shirt (adult sizes only), and shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis when registering at the event. Awards will be given for the top three placing participants in the following categories: Overall Male, Overall Female, Male age groups Youth (12-17), 18-28, 29-38, 39-48, 49-58, 59- 68, 69-100, Female age groups Youth (12-17), 18-28, 29-38, 39-48, 49-58, 59- 68, 69-100.

Stars, Stripes and Smiles 2017

On Friday November 10, 2017 we hosted our 3rd annual FREE day of dentistry for veterans and active military. We offered a FREE cleaning, filling, and extraction of their choice. After Noon, we opened the event to all area first responders as well. 

We we able to provide 61 services to those in need, for a total of $8,078 of free dentistry. 

With the help of Cambridge Intermediate School, Trinity Baptist Church, and G&T's Faded Barbershop we were able to provide each participant with a boxed lunch, a letter from a local student, and a free haircut. 

We want to thank our sponsors, Rick's Car Care, G&T's Faded, and Trinity Baptist Church. Also, Kevin Smart for speaking, and Dr. Fanti for joining us at the event, Mike Coulter for providing Soup for patients and staff, and for everyone else who helped and participated in the event. 


Halloween Candy Trade-In

Thank You to all who participated in our 2nd annual Halloween Candy Trade-In! 

We collected 68lbs of candy and shipped it to our troops overseas with the help of Operation Gratitude. And, Congratulations to the winner of a $50 Toys 'r Us giftcard, Nora! 


Smiles from the Heart 2017!

We held our 4th annual FREE Day of dentistry for the community on July 14, 2017. Each person who participated was given the choice of a FREE Cleaning, Filling, or Extraction. We always gurantee the first 50 patients to be seen!

We were able to complete 102 services, providing a total of $14,601 of free dentistry to the community! 

Thank You to our volunteers, Dr. Fanti, Dr. Lee and Morgan R., and our sponsors for the contributions on this day. 


Relay for Life - Team Woodlawn Dental Center

 As a team, our staff has decided to join Guernsey County Relay for Life and raise money for the American Cancer Society. Unfortunately, cancer touches everyone from time to time, and we're taking this as another opportunity to give back to the community and those affected.

Our relay for life team raised $3000+ for the American Cancer Society, that's 200% of our goal, and all because if your participation and donation!

"Smiles From the Heart"

We held our 3rd annual FREE Dentistry day on November 4th, 2016! We offered each person their choice of a dental cleaning, a filling or an extraction. We were able to provide 119 dental services to area adults in need. 

We were assisted by Dr. Fanti, and a few of our patients including Morgan Reilly and Mike Coulter for the event. Dr. Lee also offered his services this day.


STARS, STRIPES & SMILES ~ 2016

Our 2nd Annual Stars, Stripes & Smiles was August 19th, 2016!  We offered veterans and active military a choice of a cleaning, a filling, or an extraction. We were able to provide a total of 74 services to 43 patients and the services were FREE!  It was our  "Thank You" to our veterans and military. 

​Congressman Bill Johnson was here and helped us with registration and took time to personally thank the veterans and military men who attended! We were also joined by Dr. Fanti, and some of our patients including Morgan Reilly and Mike Coulter. Dr. Lee also offered his services for this event.

We were also joined by The Veteran Mobile Bus, American Red Cross & The VFW who also offered their services!

 

 

 


Dentistry From the Heart 2015 

Woodlawn Dental Center hosted their 2nd Annual Dentistry From the Heart Day on July 10, 2015.  Dr Maximo and Dr Harris were joined by other area dentists (Dr Farahay, Dr Fanti and Dr Antalis). Together with our staff, they provided over 120 dental services to 105 people.  The care was offered free of charge, each person was able to choose a cleaning, a filling or an extraction.  We worked from sun up till sun down and all agree that it is one of the most rewarding days of our lives.  We were also graciously assisted by some of our patients, including Morgan Reilly, Connie Bond, Carol Neff and Elaine Wells.  Mrs Fanti also helped out.  We look forward to next years event.

   

  


 

October "Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness Month: 

Here is what we did last in previous years..IN 2015 WE RAISED $1000 WHICH WE USED TO PURCHASE GAS CARDS AND DONATED TO OUR LOCAL CANCER TREATMENT CENTER FOR THE PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES!

During the month of October, we will having different events and efforts to help support the fight against cancer.  Various things we do are: 

  • purchase "pink" products such as masks & gloves, for which a portion goes toward breast cancer research
  • Offer "pink" items for sell, such as lapel buttons, toy footballs, bracelets, etc!  
  • We are having staff fundraisers such as bake sale, luncheons, and grab bags

All proceeds collected during our October "pink" sales will be donated to our local cancer center to purchase gas cards for area residents undergoing treatment.

 


November Food Drive!

In the month of November we will be assisting local radio station, 96.7FM in their efforts to collect food to benefit our local food pantries, such as Salvation Army and Grace Pantry. 

WE WILL TAKE PART IN THIS AGAIN IN 2016...

The doctors will match you monetary donation of $5 to purchase $10 bags of groceries during the 96.7FM/Riesbeck's Food Drive!  Our goal is to donate $1000!  Our drive begins November 1st!
