Find Support with Dental Implants

Are you struggling to live a healthy and happy life due to numerous missing teeth or loose dentures? Without proper and comfortable tooth function and a complete smile, it’s nearly impossible to eat a healthy diet, feel good about yourself, or be active and social. Natural teeth play a large role in your oral health and function. When you bite and chew foods, they provide stimulation to the jawbone, so it remains dense and strong. As teeth are lost, this bone begins to shrink away, and over time will be thin and weak. The only way to mitigate this bone loss is through a bone grafting procedure and by providing new and permanent stimulation with dental implants.

Our team at Woodlawn Dental Center is here to help you regain a healthy and confident life with implant supported dentures in Cambridge, OH. This solution uses two or more dental implants to secure your smile to your bone, offering added stability and functional confidence. With training through the prestigious Implant Seminars from Dr. Arun Garg, our experienced dentist, Dr. Franklin Maximo is skilled in placing dental implants and utilizes CHROME™ GuidedSmile surgical technology to ensure your procedure is accurate and predictable. Combining years of experience and training, we have what it takes to restore your smile and quality of life with implant supported dentures!

The Dental Implant Treatment Process

Phase 1: Consultation

Your treatment begins with a personalized consultation with one of our implant dentists. This appointment involves discussing your current situation and expectations for treatment. We’ll take x-rays, CBCT scans, and digital impressions of your mouth to help with surgical planning and creating your new denture.

Phase 2: Dental Implant Surgery

When we’ve created a custom treatment plan, you’ll return to our office in Cambridge, OH to have your dental implants placed. Our minimally invasive approach and sedation also ensure your appointment is comfortable and relaxing. We place your dental implants using a custom CHROME surgical guide in areas of your jawbone that have the most density, usually in the front portion of your jaw. Depending on your unique case, your denture will be secured to these implants with either a ball or bar attachment and can be removable for cleaning or permanently attached.

Phase 3: Healing and Final Denture

Once your surgery is complete, you’ll need 4-6 months to heal and for the implants to integrate securely with your bone. You’ll have a temporary denture during this time, which you will wear before your final denture is secured when the recovery phase is complete.

Benefiting from a Stable Smile

Implant supported dentures combine the strength of dental implants with the aesthetics of modern removable dentures. With two or more dental implants placed permanently in your jawbone, your dentures will have the support needed for a secure and strong bite. You won’t have to worry about your dentures becoming loose or falling out, and you most likely won’t need to use adhesives again either.

Additionally, unlike traditional dentures that rest on the gums and can accelerate bone loss, denture implants help to stimulate your jawbone and keep it healthy and strong by transferring biting pressure from your gums to the dental implants. You’ll look and feel more confident too, as you regain your oral and overall health with teeth strong enough to bite and chew a healthy variety of foods. At Woodlawn Dental Center we partner with multiple insurance companies as well as third-party financing companies to help make this lasting health investment as affordable as possible. Overall, you’ll experience a renewed sense of wellbeing and a boost in your quality of life for years to come!
